It’s been a while since i’ve wrote here, but I guess it’s time for a livejournal emo type post. No I am not depressed just a little discontent is more the word. Over the past few months I’ve hardly had anyone to hang out with. The few friends I have blow me off for reasons that are beyond me, but thats life you cannot control what others do.

I tried to alleviate this loneliness by going out on a date on Friday. First time I;ve been out in months. Had a really great time took her out to Kennywood, checked out the haunted houses and rode a few rides. I had a really great time but apparently she didn’t. I asked her if she wanted to hang out again sometime a couple days and she basically fed me a line. Oh well I hope she enjoyed the free ticket and cotton candy!

I know what the solutions are to solve my problem, join clubs, volunteer yadda yadda. THe problem is I just can’t connect with anyone. I always feel like I am on the outside looking in, a lot of people barely acknowledge my presence at work. Speaking of which that seems to be the only thing that is going well in my life. I finally have a full time job that i love. I am not really making the money I want to make, but the company treats us right and has great benefits. I also acutally get to focus on the things I am passionate, like linux. I recently migrated one of their web servers and the VP of the company acknowledged and praised me on my work stating he “didn’t even notice the migration”. They’re also having me learn some programming with PHP and RTML. RTML which is a bitch to use btw because you can’t use a normal text editor, you have to use yahoo’s interface which is diplorable. It makes me want bash my head against the wall several times. In fact I put up a poster in my cubicle thats says “bang head here”

I have been kicking around some ideas. One of them is maybe getting a part time job, but it would have to be something I enjoy since I can’t fathom doing grunt work ever again. Tried taxi driving but that didn;t quite work out for me. Tried delivering pizzas but didn;t enjoy that too much. I could go back to courier as I really enjoyed the long trips they would give me but the company i worked for sucked, I wasn;t always gauranteed work, and some of the trips sucked. Like the blood bank trips, they would pay you like $6.50 to carry several heavy boxes of blood to Allegheny General Hospital which is a bitch to navigate. I’ve thought about mystery shopping, however i don;t know if that is a worthwhile endeavor.

Maybe I could give volunteering a shot, but it would have to be something i truly enjoy and wouldn;t have to dedicate that much time to. Maybe that might lay the ground work for actually connecting with someone. We’ll see what happens.

In spite of all this I have been a lot more optimistic than i have been in the past. I’ve done a slow 360 in my attitude, just going with the flow of life rather than dwelling and trying to fight it.

There is so much I want to say here, but I can’t get it all out into words. My mind is always jumbled with random but deep thoughts that can;t always be put into words. I am very introspective person, a deep thinker if you will, and I normally don;t have much to say, which is why I don;t blog very much. However when I do say something it;s usually pretty interesting. Well I think I am done for now, but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for meeting new people, also feel free to leave any other comments.

Quit talking about the iPhone, it’s getting really annoying. Yes the iphone looks really spectacular but their are other things I’d rather read about it. Hell I’d rather read about Paris Hilton or yet another “amazingly cool pic” then have to read more drivel about the iphone. gah!!

On Sunday May 27 my friend Bateau will turn 22. Bateau is a good friend of mine and is the guy responsible for keeping my blog up and running. So i decided to make this little birthday card/shoutout whatever you wanna call it for him. So leave him some love in the comments section, it’s well deserved. So ya happy birthday bateau:

I removed the PClinuxOS review due to factual inaccuracies pointed out by other people, plus the fact that is after all a test release. But so far it seems this distro has potential.

**Note: before I begin today’s article I just want warn everybody I seem to be having a little problem with tourettes where I 09-f9-11-02-9d-74-e3-5b-d8-41-56-c5-63-56-88-c0 suddenly get the overwhelmingly urge to type this weird hexadecimal. I have no idea where it came from.It’s almost kind of like a 09-f9-11-02-9d-74-e3-5b-d8-41-56-c5-63-56-88-c0 a hiccup. I’ve decided to help a friend out with his web hosting business and host this site on his servers. So here we are at jmantra.com. As you can tell I’ve also implemented a new theme. I couldn’t find Sandbox for the installed version of wordpress so I decided to go with something prettier.
